UBI Global – World Benchmark Report 2021-2022
The world’s most comprehensive report of the impact and performance of university, public, private, and corporate business incubators and accelerators worldwide, the report utilizes 21 key performance indicators to compare the absolute impact and relative performance of incubators and accelerators globally, providing an in-depth exploration of the operations of, and challenges and opportunities for business incubators and accelerators around the world. The report is an authoritative reference on the current state of the global innovation industry, revealing insights and the global trends and best practices of business incubators and accelerators worldwide.
The 2021-2022 iteration of the report was the first to include a formalised evaluation of the wider social and environmental impacts of incubators and accelerators assessed in the study. Based upon a new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework – of my design – participating programs were considered according to their outputs and outcomes in three key areas – their ecosystems, client startups, and operations.
This project required formulation of the study’s methodology, extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis, insight generation, writing, proofing, graphic design, illustration, and overall management of the project.
